Debra TruccoFor the past twenty years, I have been enjoyed providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in a wide variety of settings. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s of Science Degree in Counseling from Shippensburg University. Following graduate school, I pursued and obtained status as a as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) in 1989, and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in 2002.

My background has been to provide clinical counseling as an outpatient mental health therapist, as a family based therapist, and as a mobile therapist. I also have worked as a therapist in an extended care facility helping severely head injured and Alzheimer’s patients and their families cope with these devastating life issues.

I strive to assist others to increase self-understanding and find strength and positive strategies in order to better manage their depression, anxiety, past life traumas, life struggles and transitions, and family issues.

I use a multifaceted approach to combine the use of client centered/strengths based, cognitive behavioral, motivational, and attachment theories to focus on how early and current life experiences and attachments can affect view of self and others and the world. My objective for therapy is to assist clients to understand how those dynamics impact on their daily lives and to work together to find strategies to better manage their emotions, behavioral reactions, and relationships. My goal for therapy is to encourage and assist my clients to gain life enhancing insights and changes to make their life journey more stable, satisfying, and empowering.
